That shouldn't matter afaik, it may be different but it will get completely replaced again when the radeon drm module is loaded again. Unless I misunderstood something...
Makes sense.
An interesting experiment then would be to disable the drm microcode upload and see if there are further gains to be had from a newer microcode.
