DriConf tries to choose an appropriate widget based on the type and
value range specification of an option. If you want a slider then a
float option with a single interval sounds like an appropriate
description for it. However, driconf doesn't implement this yet so it
will fall back to a simple entry widget. It wouldn't be too hard to add
a slider widget though.

If you make it an integer option with a single valid interval then
driconf will represent it with a spinbutton.
