It could be done, but there are already too few X developers and too
much work to do.  Your best bet would be to start hacking on it
yourself.  You could try and request the databooks from S3/VIA and
incrementally add support for the savage 2000 to the existing savage
driver.  I've had it on my todo list for a while, but it's way down
there so I doubt I'd get to it anytime remotely soon (if ever).
