Hi,

I just had some time to build recent xorg-x11r7 (hoping to get rid of ati's
binary driver). I have a Radeon 9550:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AS [Radeon 9550]
(prog-if 00 [VGA])
        Subsystem: Unknown device 1fd3:4153
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11
        Memory at b0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
        I/O ports at c800 [size=256]
        Memory at cbef0000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Expansion ROM at cbec0000 [disabled] [size=128K]
        Capabilities: <access denied>

01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 ?? [Radeon 9550]
(Secondary)
        Subsystem: Unknown device 1fd3:4152
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, medium devsel, latency 64
        Memory at a0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
        Memory at cbee0000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
        Capabilities: <access denied>

On via K8T800 Pro chipset (s939 Athlon64). Xorg starts fine and is fully
usable if only glx module is not loaded. If I load it x seems like it had
hung. Starting twm work, but kdm is even unable to draw a login window (it is
visible but incomplete, mouse is moving, keyboard seems dead, however when I
click on password and type few characters they appear after a while). Only
way to get out of the problem is to push power button (ACPI) and wait about
5-10 minutes after which system manages to finally kill X and power down.

Computer is running linux-gentoo, xorg was build yesterday using (self
unmasked) portage ebuilds.

$ uname -a
Linux pytasz 2.6.14-gentoo-r5 #1 PREEMPT Fri Dec 23 15:23:53 CET 2005 x86_64
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

has 1024MB of Dual-channel ram.
drm module is newly built, from dri cvs.

There are no errors in Xorg.0.log nor anything useful seems to occur in dmesg
(sometimes I am able to ssh to the machine - although it is very slow with x
running. xorg seems to use most if not all of cpu if glx is enabled)

In my opinion the only hint what is wrong could be:

(II) Initializing built-in extension XEVIE

in Xorg.0.log... But I may be wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.
Xorg.0.log and xorg.conf attached.
