Console output attached. dmesg output is identical - a flood of messages about a lock not held. Since the xserver patch merely attempts to check a condition that is set by the ati patch, and the endless loop still triggers, I think that the call to texOffsetStart itself is causing the looping failure. Maybe the call is illegal in that particular point in the code.
