I followed the instructions for xserver debugging, although I do not understand much of it. One problem is certainly that the server does not crash, but hangs. So, I am not sure, if the backtrace helps (it is very short). I did one before the hang and one after the hang. Furthermore I attach an strace log, which I recorded during the hang, meaning i started the strace, then I switched to VT1 (which works) and then back to VT7 (which gives the hanged server).
