glxinfo from always-fails attempt to start Desktop Effects

Hi Jerome, Here's the requested glxinfo. I did the following steps:
1. Booted with nomodeset
2. Grabbed glxinfo
3. Clicked System -> Preferences -> Desktop Effects: Enable Desktop Effects
and observed a slight blink of the screen but no change, Desktop Effects window
is still present
4. Grabbed glxinfo again
5. Clicked Enable Desktop Effects again and observed that I got logged off and
automatically logged on again, but still no Desktop Effects present
6. Grabbed glxinfo again
The three glxinfo grabs were identical as verified by md5sum. I have attached
one of them. I'd be happy to do more: I could for instance repeat the above
steps and then grab multiple files, say, output of glxinfo, together with
Xorg.0.log and output of dmesg and etc etc, whatever you like.
This problem is new to Fedora 11. This computer had been running with Desktop
Effects just fine for months with Fedora 10.
