Hi Jacques, Brian, yeah the goal of Gora is to provide common API abstraction 
to many different NoSQL databases.
Since Gora is using Avro so it support all data types supported by the schema.

I originally think that Gora could help by providing realtime schema and 
Avro-based Java persistence classes to access different columnar databases like 
HBase and Cassandra. This will help with DRILL-13 with Java API. Maybe I am 
missing the concern that Brian mentioned in his comment before?

Jacques, I like idea to do the reverse by using Drill for Gora is interesting
