Forwarded from the Cascading mailing list. Lingual is making good progress. Their test set of queries looks interesting.
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Chris K Wensel <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Apr 8, 2013 at 12:14 PM Subject: Lingual Public Access To: [email protected], "[email protected]" < [email protected]> Hey all Just a quick note that we have pushed Lingual up to GitHub and have made it available for download. For more information, see the Lingual page: http://www.cascading.org/lingual/ This release includes a full JDBC Driver for Cascading local and Hadoop modes. Also has various command line tools for creating a catalog or "interactive" queries. Though we only have a handful of high level queries in the projects tests, we are maintaining a parallel project that contains (currently) 6.6k SQL statements and result sets we run Lingual against periodically. As of today, only 14% of those tests fail from internal errors. We consider that reasonable coverage to have achieved before making Lingual WIP releases available. We obviously are working towards 100% where it makes sense, and to continually add more tests. WIP releases could be made hourly or daily based on the frequency of commits. So calling "> lingual selfupdate" before emailing about an issue or filing a bug is probably wise. Ongoing, Lingual discussions should happen on the lingual-user list, and issues tracked on the github Issues page. Links are on the Lingual page above. enjoy, chris -- Chris K Wensel [email protected] http://concurrentinc.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "cascading-user" group.
