Summary: Parquet Tests are poorly organized

Parquet tests diverged after the test class was moved. A bad git merge allowed
the old test to remain in its original directory while the modified version of
the tests were in a sub-package. Need to consolidate into a single class and
reorganize to remove redundancies.
