Please give us feedback with respect to how the si3124 driver works
for you.
I have not tested unplugging the disks yet. I will have that done soon.
Pulling the power from one of the disk cases resulted in a degraded
mirror as expected. The state of the pool was not immediately listed as
degraded. Only on the second issue of 'zpool status pool' did it report
that the down disk was unavailable.
Respecting the rcp 'timeouts' in writes, I resorted to using rsync over
rsh to do the copies (issued from office Linux box to remote site with
open solaris box: office 4mbit/4mbit line remote 640kbit/1.5mbit line)
and this gave consistent writes to the pool.
