I'm wanting to use a SATA drive on a VIA VT6420 SATA RAID Controller and am running svn_65. Any chance that there is a driver floating around out there for this? I don't actually want to use the RAID function of it, just want to access SATA drives with it.
Now, if that is absolutely out of the question, are there any good and cheap PCI SATA controllers that work well with Solaris? Finally, I'm assuming that firewire and usb drives can be added to zpools in ZFS, correct? (I guess the real question will be what is the right config so as to be able to pull them out of a zpool once pushed in so that they still maintain a degree of portability.) If so, what is a good PCI firewire controller that has strong compatibility with Solaris? Thanks much for any feedback! _______________________________________________ driver-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/driver-discuss
