Hmm.. that NIC driver is another candidate for GLDv3 ification. ;-)
I actually have one. I also have pcelx NIC that I'd like to do.
(Making the pcgld hack go away would be a very good thing, IMO.)
But right now nobody seems too interested in this effort...

To answer my own question - it was a problem with the elxl driver using
the card in half-duplex mode. Hopefully anyone else who has the same
problem will be able to find this instead of trailing through many
Google results and dead ends. The elxl driver doesn't seem to really be
production-ready: http://www.dbforums.com/showthread.php?p=3215880
I was faintly surprised that nobody was prepared to take a shot at
helping with this query. I come from a (Fedora) Linux and OpenBSD
background and don't find that the OpenSolaris mailing lists compare
very favourably. It goes without saying that this is unlikely to
encourage OpenSolaris adoption.

Hi all,
I'm having an odd problem on SXDE 2/07 with file transfer using SSH -
either by scp or rsync -e ssh. Copies from remote computers to the SXDE
box work fine - full expected network speed. However copies out will
start off very slowly (~50Kb/s) and will slow down to an eventual
stall.
This also happens when I instigate the copy from the remote computer.
Netcat works fine, at expected speeds both in and out, so I doubt it is
some strange layer 2 confusion.
In case it is relevant, this is a standard SXDE 2/07 Developer
installation with one zpool and 7 zfs filesystems (although the problem
applies to files on the UFS root slice as well).
Anyone seen this or have any thoughts?
Cheers,
Chris
