I recently had an opportunity to place with a new machine that
Dell ships with Ubuntu pre-installed. No special drivers are
required -- the standard ubuntu 7.04 installs without incident.

I ran my install_check (v1.2) CD on the machine. Here are the results:

     Notes:
     1. No hard disk found. Ensure hard disk is properly connected to a storage
controller that has a solaris driver.
     2. This software might need an update after 2007-07-19. Please download
        the latest version at
        http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/install_check.html

Just in case there were any driver updates, I tried installing Nevada build 68.
Seemed to confirm its inability to acccess anything on the SATA controller.

Does a driver exist?

If so, how do I get it integrated into the install?

Thank you!
