Is there any information how that "LITE-ON DVDRW LH-18A1P" device from that thread is connected to the system? Is that a P-ATA device? Or S-ATA? USB? Or Firewire? In case it is S-ATA: what kind of S-ATA chipset is used on the mainboard, and is the S-ATA controller in the chipset configured to emulate legacy P-ATA, or does it use AHCI mode? > It would be nice if someone working in this area followed up. (otherwise > I'll just file a bug) Hmm, works for me, using recent opensolaris bits (~ snv_78). I tested both a P-ATA "SONY DVD RW AW-G170A" device (on a P-ATA channel); and a "PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-108" (P-ATA device installed) in an external USB 2.0 enclosure. _______________________________________________ driver-discuss mailing list driver-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/driver-discuss
