s/ARC/Process/ (there's a lot of layers of various process in place) These days I think of OpenSolaris as a game of chess, where developers are pawns. If you can get to the other side of the board, you can putback. But that is only in the event that you get past all the other players to get to the other side. It's not easy to sort out all that process, and it should be no surprise that it's taking time. I'm curious to see how some of that process changes myself, because there's a lot of players that hold a stake in it, today.;-) In theory you can graft the ON portion into OpenSolaris, and the process remains in place for Solaris (which encompasses all of it's system as known in SXDE). The reality is that this has taken a lot of time and will take a lot longer. No matter how we look at it, OpenSolaris is making progress to move outside SWAN, so it's all good. It's not gonna happen in 2007, I'm pretty confident of that...(there's still another week left though;-). -- Alan DuBoff - Solaris x86 IHV/OEM Group _______________________________________________ driver-discuss mailing list driver-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/driver-discuss
