There is a known bug that the trackpad on MacBook doesn't work on 
Solaris. The workaround is to use an external USB mouse. But the 
internal keyboard should work on Solaris. I didn't see that the same 
problem was reported. Maybe the issue only happens on your *NEW* MacBook 
pro. I will try the snv_84 on MacBook.

Please privately send me the output of the following commands.
echo "::prtusb -t" | mdb -k;
echo "::prtusb -v" | mdb -k
