I am looking through the grants, and I am not clear on the status for Masa, I thought he had contributor status, but not sure.
Either way, I would like to nominate him for Core Contributor status in the device driver community. He's done a huge amount of work going way back before OpenSolaris was even a thought, and has put a huge amount of time into the recent putback for his sfe driver, and many of his other drivers benifit from that work. I can think of no other single non-Sun member of the OpenSolaris community that has been around as long as Masa, or who has done the amount of work as he has done over the past 10+ years.
