It sits on your network, and the tuners are controlled via commands sent across the network. If you do end up working on porting Linux drivers, that would be awesome. I'd love to see the V4L2 and DVB API and drivers ported to OpenSolaris so I could move my SageTV back-end from Linux to OpenSolaris without having to throw away $400 in DVB PCI tuner cards.
