Alex, Thank you for updating me. Today I posted the latest atge driver, atge-2.6.1 into my page. atge-2.6.1 passed all tests in nicdrv, which was provided by solaris nic-team in Sun. First, please try it without any workarounds. -masa > > >On Wed, Sep 24, 2008 at 11:01 PM, Masa Murayama <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> ----- Original Message ----- >>>Date: Wed, 24 Sep 2008 05:56:23 +0900 (JST) >>>From: Masa Murayama <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >>>To: "Alex Lam S.L." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >>>Subject: Re: [driver-discuss] Atheros L1 GbE on P5E-VM HDMI >>>Cc: Masa Murayama <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [email protected] >>> >>> >>>----- Original Message ----- >>>>Date: Tue, 23 Sep 2008 19:00:12 +0100 >>>>From: "Alex Lam S.L." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >>>>To: "Masa Murayama" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >>>>Subject: Re: Re: [driver-discuss] Atheros L1 GbE on P5E-VM HDMI >>>>Cc: [email protected] >>>> >>>> >>>>Seems like atge manages to read the MAC from config, but only after >>>>reading it from ROM: >>>> >>>>atge: [ID 688919 kern.info] atge0: atge_read_mac_addr: reading flash >>>>rom: not supported >>>>atge: [ID 451511 kern.info] atge0: MII PHY (0x004dd015) found at 0 >>>>atge: [ID 426109 kern.info] atge0: PHY >>>>control:1140<ANE,FDUPLEX,1000M>, >>>>status:7949<100_BASEX_FD,100_BASEX,10_BASE_FD,10_BASE,XSTATUS,MFPRMBLSUPR, CA >> N >>>AUTONEG,EXTENDED>, >>>>advert:de1<ASM_DIR,PAUSE,100BASE_TX_FD,100BASE_TX,10BASE_T_FD,10BASE_T>, >>>>lpar:0 >>>>atge: [ID 119377 kern.info] atge0: xstatus:2000<1000BASET_FD> >>>>genunix: [ID 678236 kern.info] Ethernet address = 2:0:0:0:0:1 >>>>gld: [ID 944156 kern.info] atge0: atheros L1 nic driver v2.6.0: type >>>>"ether" mac address 02:00:00:00:00:01 >>>> >>>>Any other things that could have gone wrong? >>> >>>Sorry for delay. >>>Now mac address is no problem, because it isn't 00:00:00:00:00:00 nor >>>ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff. >>> >>>I found all received packets were recognized as *unknown* in kstat log. >>>They should be corrupted, I think.
