Hi everyone: I have testing opensolaris networking performance using Myricom 10Gbps NIC. On my testing platform, a sender connects to a receiver via two physical back-to-back 10Gbps links. The receiver uses Intel i386 8-core processor. I try to change tunables ( ip_soft_rings_cnt and ddi_msix_alloc_limit) into different value (1, 4, 8)in /etc/system, and then reboot machine. But, the networking performance has not any change. Do you know what is the problem in my configuration? or my configurations have not worked on the system totally? how can I get to know my configurations have worked? (the TCP windows size is 2M)
My configuration in /etc/system: set ip: ip soft_ring_cnt=8 set ddi_msix_alloc_limit=8 set pcplusmp:apic_msix_max=8 set pcplusmp:apic_intr_policy=1 I uses iperf to test my system. The best bandwidth I can get is 6.4 Gbits/s. Thanks, Best regards 2009-12-06 zouhongbo
