IBM xSeries 346 with added ServeRAID-7k ZCR controller. No driver on the support CDs (v7, v9). SUN won't support that controller legitimately saying it's hardware mfg concern. IBM won't support saying 346 was never tested neither certified for Solaris. Go figure.
Now I know there is a driver for 4x...6x series of ServeRAID available on this website, but what about 7x? will it work? I guess I should go ahead and give it a try, but not being a techie guy I do not know how to compile this driver. Please, give me some guidance. PS. I was able to download and install driver for 8x series ServeRAID as it's supported by IBM, but being designed for SAS controllers, this driver eventually didn't work and Solaris didn't recognize the controller.
