Hi all, I've connected a Huawei E156G HSDPA USB Modem (usb12d1,1003) to my OpenSolaris 09/06.
I added the line usbsacm "usb12d1,1003" to /etc/driver_aliases But the usbsacm driver is not loaded when plugging-in the device (excerpt below). It seems the driver 'scsa2usb2' is loaded instead, and a read-only disk (sort of CD-ROM) is detected instead (I can browse the CD-ROM contents with Nautilus). Has anyone used this device with OpenSolaris? Any hints to get it working? Thanks in advance, Antonio P.S.: dmesg gives: Jan 5 20:09:28 antonio usba: [ID 912658 kern.info] USB 2.0 device (usb12d1,1003) operating at hi speed (USB 2.x) on USB 2.0 root hub: storage at 1, scsa2usb2 at bus address 2 Jan 5 20:09:28 antonio usba: [ID 349649 kern.info] HUAWEI Technology Mobile Jan 5 20:09:28 antonio genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] scsa2usb2 is /pci at 0,0/pci1854,11b at 13,5/storage at 1 Jan 5 20:09:28 antonio genunix: [ID 408114 kern.info] /pci at 0,0/pci1854,11b at 13,5/storage at 1 (scsa2usb2) online Jan 5 20:09:28 antonio scsi: [ID 583861 kern.info] sd3 at scsa2usb2: target 0 lun 0 Jan 5 20:09:28 antonio genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] sd3 is /pci at 0,0/pci1854,11b at 13,5/storage at 1/disk at 0,0 Jan 5 20:09:28 antonio genunix: [ID 408114 kern.info] /pci at 0,0/pci1854,11b at 13,5/storage at 1/disk at 0,0 (sd3) online -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
