Oh yes. As of late this is a sad conversation I keep having over and
over when I tell people to disable cores on their fancy new boxes.
How has this been fixed in Drizzle? Did you get rid of the mutexes?
We eliminated the mutexes, since I knew they were all going to be a
problem. pthread_setschedparam() I found out about a while ago when I
was first running some tests (about third week in).
Now the THD alarm I need to go back in and look at and see if the
solution is all that good.
If we didn't need lock tables for MyISAM there is a bit more code I
could kill as well.
To me I took from this that we are on the right track. Give us six
more months and we have something which is useable. There are more
bits that Paul did not find as well. I know MontyW is taking some of
this knowledge and will apply it to the Maria tree (Which is a fork
from the main tree as well).
