I know we are doing "no new features", but

In the MySQL Performance Blog article "Missing Data - rows used to generate result set", when reading that, I came to wonder how hard it would be to do.

Basically, for each query, keep a counter of every row returned from each engine, and then make that available along with the query time and the number of rows actually in the final result set.
