If it's a "microkernel," then *every* function should be loadable, right? No built-in functions at all...

(the most recent chapter I finished for the MySQL book I'm writing was an appendix of the functions and operator references....including which were standard SQL and which weren't. The bit operator discussion reminded me of how appalled I was that the standard deviation and population standard deviation functions were standard SQL when many more useful functions and operators were not.)
