I suggest that for names we use Washington state geographical

I do like the idea of using the names of Washington State features

code names...
Better yet, what about great town names:

As Drizzle ist Seattle-ish, so you can use features of Seattle.
Personally, I'm not a fan of code names for releases. While it's nice
for the actual developers giving releases more "personality" it can be
a nightmare for users/newcomers trying to find out which name means
what.
When I see a version number (x.y.z) I can instantly tell which one is
more recent, it's much harder to see a regularity in code names (e.g.
seeing the implicit alphabetical order). The worst of course are
"sliding codenames" which debian is (was?) doing, IIRC.
If people want codenames, I'd vote for using them only in addition to
a version number.
