Hmm, you mean as a meta-package? Probably both, so you can actually use it.

Subpackages could be named "drizzle-plugin-<foo>"

"make dist" only rolls the source tarball, doesn't it? Converting that one
into binary packages is a separate step.

I'd be glad to give the latter a try (and maybe even OpenSolaris/ips), if you
feel that we're ready to start building packages already. As I understood
Brian, there are still too many moving parts to think about packaging at this
point.

I submitted a preliminary blueprint about it, but I'd like to make sure that
we keep packages and file lists in sync across the different packagaging 
systems.
