That's a good question... having a "modtime" column that users cannot modify could be very useful, assuming that it updates in reaction to the same events that today's MySQL timestamp column does. Hmm... Are you suggesting that every table have one by default or merely that when users add one to a table it has completely automatic behavior that one cannot override? Jeremy
