I hope you would still keep the original names stored somewhere? I wouldn't like my camelCasedNames to become all lowercase :/


That can be in the table definition (FRM file from MySQL), the point is that the directories and files on disk should be lowercased so they become immune to getting moved between platforms and filesystems.
