I can roll debs using checkinstall but they're not 100% foolproof. I don't know how to do any of the other stuff with post-install scripts and whatnot. Otherwise, I'd volunteer myself :)
I can however host it, unless someone just wants to put it under their own PPA at launchpad... then that person just needs to maintain it (I can give them an SSH login and they can create build scripts and all that good stuff.)
