Hi, everyone. I originally sent this email (well, a similar one) to Brian Aker, and he recommended posting here.
In case you hadn't heard, Launchpad is now open-source. Along with releasing the code, we've set up processes for incorporating user contributions -- see https://dev.launchpad.net/ and especially https://dev.launchpad.net/Help. We've landed quite a few user-contributed patches already. So I'm posting this notice in a few projects that both make heavy use of Launchpad and are likely to have the sorts of developers who could hack on Launchpad. Drizzle is one such. If you have an itch, you may now be able to scratch it yourself instead of waiting for us (goodness, can this movement please get a new metaphor?). Take a look at the above URLs if you're interested. Also: there's a thread on launchpad-users@ entitled "Your top three wishes for Launchpad?". It asks (surprise, surprise) for people to say their top 3 wishes for Launchpad, to help us prioritize what will go the into the 4.0 release (planning for which is starting now).
