The regression looks serious enough to report to Innobase, IMHO.
Not sure if this should delay the plugin making it into trunk, though.
Looks like decent improvements in a number of other areas that offset
the degradation in ALTER TABLE performance.
Perhaps this may be an issue with one of our default configuration
settings. We should ask Innobase folks.
