Very much agree... do we want to expose both interfaces or just a name one?
The number binding is very cumbersome. If the query is not known at design time and is composed on the fly for things like report makers, keeping track of the numbering scheme is extremely cumbersome. If you could bind values using a name, and only once for all occurrences of the name, it would be great.
