not sure that i love the term. my primary difficulty is that it attempts to apply a core business management concept on an endeavor that is, at best, only partially a business. much is lost in translation. is multi-entity collaboration transformative in terms of its shared asset ownership and investments? sure. is it a "collective competency?" i'm not sure.
