story: recently Firebird developer Pavel Cisar released a Python based client. which is Scriptable. overall reaction was ... Wow! here is the link : http://firebirdsql.org/index.php?op=devel&sub=python&id=pytools As Jay pointed out, scriptablity of a python client is the highlight here. it will be nice if you can just review these kind of tools and take the best features out of them but this may not replace the C++ client. and my vote is for you.
