Given that I cannot access the old status.html page anymore, could you
explain a bit more what you want there to be (example would be nice),
and how is the information supposed to be generated?

If this is information that is mostly targeted at the internal
developers, isn't the wiki also a possible place for it? (As a rough
rule, we can give more people access to the wiki than the outward
facing website.)
