I am not a lawyer and we need to discuss this on the legal ml. Sure
there is a certain association between Apache Droids and the starwars
ones. I see an Apache Droid as one functional unit as R2D2 had been in
the comic. A droid is a robot.

Could you combine it? I mean integrate them in the letters (the D would
be another awesome candidate for it) as we have in the "I". But this "I"
could be as well a standalone logo, does that makes sense?
