When enabling gzip in dropwizard it seems to add the gzip filter close to
the end of the start up process which causes the gzip filter to be added at
the end of the filter chain.
Any personal filters that we are adding to our project are added first
which end up at the beginning of the filter chain.
This causes a problem when one of our filters needs to access the data and
it has not been uncompressed yet because the gzip filter is at the end of
the filter chain.
I have not been able to figure out how to either add our filters after the
gzip filter or ensure that the gzip filter is added at the beginning of the
filter chain.

Has anyone else have a similar issue and a solution?

We are still using dropwizard 0.7.1
