At a past job we used Heroku. There was a base yaml config file and we used
command line overrides to supply environment specific and secret
configuration parameters. I imagine this could work similarly with a
Docker-ized application. The command line can get a bit unwieldy if you
have complex configuration that requires a lot of customization.

I’ve done similar with Google AppEngine and similar platforms in the past.

I for one am using Dropwizard in development only (for now). I serve the

For what it’s worth, this is how Yammer deployed all of its Dropwizard
services during my 4 years there. Consequently Dropwizard can fit this
pattern pretty easily.
