Hi Richard, 2005/12/5, Richard Ellis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > I have noticed that if > I start AlsaPlayer, whatever I have playing when I open DS is > automatically paused and volume is muted. Is this right? I'm afraid > I don't have the FS vinyl to try it as of yet. Yes, for the moment this is the normal behaviour. In fact, when you launch dscratch without -n option, dscratch will drive the Alsaplayer session #0. If you launch Alsaplayer only with "alsaplayer", Alsaplayer session is #0. So now all is OK, dscratch is driving Alsaplayer. You don't play the FS vinyl, so dscratch consider the current speed is 0 and therefore volume is 0 too. You must play a FS record to check if dscratch really works ;-)
I can't share a rip of FS vinyl, it's forbiden. But I can create a timecode without any position management (not supported for the moment in dscratch) in ogg format. Then you can play this timecode with an audio player to simulate turntable+FS vinyl. I will give you the URL later. Otherwise you can buy the FS vinyl in a record shop, for me it was only 20€.
