Location: MA; Duration : 6M-1 Yr * * * * * * *Senior Database Developer/Administrator* *Position Overview/Description:* The senior database developer will provide a senior-level contribution to a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of critical business enterprise applications in both Windows and Web environments. He/She will work with both traditional and agile software lifecycle methodologies. Focus on optimizing architectural and design aspects of the applications, create design documents when required, perform coding, debugging and testing in VSTS environment. Design the integration between proposed development projects and existing systems. Must be able to work independently and also in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to less experienced team members. *Role profile/Key Responsibilities:*** · Ability to design a database scalable for large amount of data. · Ability to find the bottleneck and improve the performance of the queries. · Ability to set the standard for the database programming and guide the team members. · Ability to take a task from requirements to deployment and support. · Ability to work on multiple tasks, prioritizing and organizing these tasks to maximize productivity. · Must have a personality that works well and enjoys working directly with business users in an informal environment. · Ability to work independently as well as with a team of other technical resources. · Must be a self starter, with good communication skills. · Must possess strong time management, and leadership skills. · Must be a technologist that stays up to date with current development and technology trends and techniques. *Qualifications Required:*** *Education:* · BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems or demonstrated industry hands-on experience.** · Microsoft certification is a plus.** *Experience:* · 8+ years of experience in database programming. · 2+ years of experience in .NET development. · Expertise in designing a database scalable to handle large data. · Expertise in designing a high performance database. · Expertise in debugging the existing application to identify and rectify the performance and scalability related bottlenecks. · Experience in designing and setting up SQL Server clustering. · Experience in SSRS. · Experience in developing SSIS packages. · Experience in setting the standard for the database security. · Solid understanding of desktop and web applications. · Healthcare industry expertise is preferred. · Content management expertise is a plus. *Skill Sets:* · Expertise in database programming in SQL Server (2005/2008). · Experience in programming with dot.net languages. · Experience in writing reports using SSRS. · Experience in developing SSIS packages. · Good understanding of database users, roles and schemas. · Strong understanding of Rules-based Engine concepts utilizing XML. .Net Position *Senior .NET Developer* *Position Overview/Description:* The senior .NET developer will provide a senior-level contribution to a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of critical business enterprise applications in both Windows and Web environments.
