Hello Meera, There are several options, the best one depends on what you need to do. You might want to post more specific details of what it is you need to accomplish.
1) If the URI you need to change is the handle (e.g. http://hdl.handle.net/12345/67890, and you only need to change the prefix (12345), there is a DSpace tool to do this: [dspace-home]/bin/dspace update-handle-prefix [args] 2) Otherwise you could use the batch editing tool from the GUI or CLI: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC5x/Batch+Metadata+Editing I believe this involves exporting metadata to CSV, editing in Excel, then re-importing. I have never used this and can't say any more than that. 3) You could use the DSpace API to write a java class to do the job. I've done something similar for batch withdrawing items: http://hdl.handle.net/10197/6335 4) You could possibly use SQL to do the job. Be sure to back up the database first and re-index everything afterwards. There may have been changes to the index command that I'm not familiar with as I'm on an earlier version. The benefits of 3) over 4) is that by using the API you (probably) won't miss any steps like indexing, and you have the ability to analyse the changes using java. NB all of these solutions can destroy part or all of your database, be careful.
