Dear Dspace'rs I have been approached by one department that intends to start submitting content to our repository. However, they would like their PDF's protected from copying.
We tried using encrypting options in Adobe Acrobat but as soon as the document is uploaded, people can still open and copy contents. Is there an indexing process (in Dspace- maybe filter-media) that relaxes the encryption settings of an uploaded PDF? We would appreciate any tips on how other institutions are handling PDF access restrictions.
