Hi everyone,
when trying to run maven to install DSpace, maven fails at the first
component to download. Here a bit more detail about my problem, which I
have posted previously but unfortunately did not receive any reply:
INFO: I/O exception (java.net.SocketException) caught when processing
request to {s}->https://repo.maven.apache.org:443:
java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Error constructing
implementation (algorithm: Default, provider: SunJSSE, class:
sun.security.ssl.SSLContextImpl$DefaultSSLContext)
This is retried several times, after which the concluding error message is:
[ERROR] Plugin org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-enforcer-plugin:1.4.1 or
one of its dependencies could not be resolved: Failed to read artifact
descriptor for org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-enforcer-
plugin:jar:1.4.1: Could not transfer artifact
org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-enforcer-plugin:pom:1.4.1 from/to
central (https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2):

initialize NSS: NSS initialization failed
I have checked the following:
~/.m2 is writeable for the user that runs maven
the server can ping repo.maven.apache.org
mozilla-nss and libnss_compat_ossl0 are installed
The server is running on OpenSuse 13.2 with OpenJDK 1.7. Any help would
be greatly appreciated!
