DSpace uses the word "pool" to refer to workflow items waiting to be
claimed by a reviewer.  See

I presume that "Accept/Reject/Edit Metadata Pool" counts the number of
items that have reached the step that is waiting for a reviewer and
"Accept/Reject/Edit
Metadata" counts the number of items that have been reviewed.
