I've also updated the out of date information on the Roadmap: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/RoadMap DSpace 7 is not yet in alpha or beta stage, but I'd anticipate it moving into that stage in late 2018, with a final release sometime in 2019. However, we are still looking for more institutions / individuals to get involved in the development process -- if we find more resources / volunteers, it's very possible the final release date could be moved up. But, as to your question, Ákos, I'd recommend upgrading to DSpace 6 if you need a more immediate upgrade.
