Hello everyone, Our institution is working on a number of updates and added materials for our DSpace Repository, and one of the major contributions recently has been theses and dissertations. We only have these documents in digital form, which we receive back from ProQuest after the initial submission. Since we upload these documents and include all of the relevant metadata in DSpace, we would like to harvest this information for import into OCLC Connexion as a MARC Record to save time on what could be further original cataloging.
I was wondering if anyone in the DSpace community has experience with OAI Harvesting or another method for making sure DSpace metadata gets into OCLC WorldCat and our ILS system as MARC records? We were planning on exploring this functionality in MarcEdit, which I regularly use for electronic resource imports into our Alma ILS; however, we would appreciate receiving feedback regarding this process or a more efficient method. Thank you in advance and have a wonderful rest of the week! Sincerely, Rex Hughes Rex Hughes, II, M.L.I.S.
