Hello, I was curious if anyone in the DSpace Community had experience with applying Dublin Core crosswalks between geospatial metadata standards, such as the data standards found at https://www.fgdc.gov/. Since we are on the DSpace platform, we can only use Dublin Core formatting for our data, but I would like to make sure we capture all of the necessary elements recognized by FGDC as necessary for GIS data and geospatial data sets.
Also, if you do have experience with geospatial metadata in DSpace, I would love to discuss ingestion workflows for this kind of metadata. Geospatial metadata requires extensive repetition of fields, and we would like to make ingestion as simple as can for our researchers (perhaps through Simple Archive ZIP Batch Loads?). Thank you in advance for any advice or feedback you are willing to provide. Sincerely, Rex Hughes, II, M.L.I.S.
