Hi Kev, This message is difficult to respond to. We'd need more information regarding what version of DSpace you are running, and whether you are using the XMLUI or JSPUI. Additionally, since you are asking about customizing the out-of-the-box *code* of DSpace, you may be better off using our Tech Support list (dspace-tech) or even the Developer list (dspace-devel). The basic answer here is that the Embargo functionality was built *after* all other date types. So, I believe the old date types have simply not (yet) been updated to use the same date element -- I'm not sure if anyone else has found a way to do so (it seems like it might be possible, but I've not looked into it myself). In any case, you'll have better success asking on one of our technical lists.
